Last Day of an AWESOME '08

Well, here we are, the last day of a very memorable 2008, and I got to say it was waay better than 2007...BIG TIME. Anyways, the reason why I really didn't like 2007 was because a lot of stuff just didn't go my way that year :P For example, junior year was biatch to me, we stayed at a place called Tan Plaza, which is like an apartment complex, really nice place to stay in. Anyways, I virtually did not do anything outside of studying that year except basketball and my friend resparking my interest into anime. I mean I was even studying in Taiwan of 2006 (which was when I was last in Taiwan). There was so much pressure back then when I was in Taiwan, cause when I did have free time in Taiwan, I was pressured into studying :(, aside from that I practically lived at Vanteus ( SAT & College Prep center). I went there every week, every other day for different things, that sometimes went late into the night, then on weekends I take two 3-4 hrs SAT test. I mean the only thing memorable was when I was invited to a basketball tournament going on in a park. That was my only fun moment then :) and chinese school cause I always mess around there haha. Well even 2007 summer was packed with college apps, and school year 2007 was college apps. So the pains and agony left 2007 then I knew, retribution would be sweet in 2008, and when 2008 did roll around oh boy did I have some fun :)

HIGHLIGHTS OF 2008:

  • Done with college apps and more importantly SAT's: that was a good feeling, I think I may have closed in  on 50 different practice test taken, you name the book and odds are I definitely have taken that test (2007 edition or older) It was such a good feeling it was literally as the saying goes, a 1000 lbs boulder has been lifted off my shoulders :)
  • Senioritis: Yeah, I know it's a bad thing, but the feeling of not putting in any effort into your classes, just chill, nap at home, relax and not have a care for the world, boy that was memorable
  • Driving: Even though I got a minor ticket early on in the year, cause driving between Palo Alto and San Jose every morning and afternoon can take a toll on your body if your not use to it, I did have those bad days, but I soon adjusted and driving to and from school just became another part of my life. Highlights definitely were driving out to eat e.g. Subway and sometimes with friends
  • Pandas: I can't lie our coaches stink :P one doesn't know how to coach that he even takes advices from refs (thats pretty low) his drills don't make any sense, and thats not just me, the whole team, that it makes people leave the team. And the other one quit on us in the middle of tourney cause he couldn't figure out how to win, well duh if you don't show up to practice to coach of course your team will do bad. So I took it over with friends, and even though we didnt always get winning results, we were definitely better and closer I have to say
  • Senior Cut Day: O yeah
  • Senior Picnic: This was fun, we went to Boardwalk and just chilled for a day there after grad rehearsal. It sucked driving back home though cause there was a huge traffic jam the way back and without carpool it took about an hour to get back home :P
  • Graduation: This was a good day :)
  • Grad Night: We partied on a warship, lotsa memories I have more on facebook
  • Senior Camping: Two of best friends in high school and myself went out to Lake Berryessa (North Napa) to go camping to start off the summer. It was quite memorable in more ways than one. Afterwards we had to say bye to a friend who was moving to LA and going to school at SD :(
  • Summer: One of the better summers I've had, at least better than '07 LOL
  • Movies: I have to say I think I watched somewhere around 12 movies over the summer, with friends, sometimes with fresh choice, or coming back to my house to chill
  • BOARDWALK: O MAN good stuff, started with some of my friends sleeping over, then going over there and having WAY too many good times there, we are definitely doing that again.
  • Boomers: Haha this was some good stuff too
  • YMCA: Much props to my friend for taking me there this summer, we had some hella good games there, and some bad, but more good than bad :)
  • Moving into UCSC: Move in week was really fun, that whole week was the best week of college, but yeah met a lot of people over that time
  • UCSC: Whole different experience, just going downtown and dorm life...everything :)
  • Going to Taiwan: What a way to cap things off in 2008, by having possibly the most memorable trip I have had in years :) I already blogged about it
Well what can I say, 2008 is definitely in the top years that I've had, I don't know what 2009 will have in store for me, but I can only hope that it will be as good or better than 2008. Well at least I'll be recapping all that goes on in 2009, or try to remember too haha

Resting Up

Basically, for the last couple days I've been trying to rest up from my trip to Taiwan. Yeah, I know I take a while but I've also been going to the Y these past couple days to play ball and workout with an old friend of mines. We use to work out almost everyday over summer, so when we get the chance, like breaks from college, we go work out and play ball together whenever we have free time. Anyways, this Sunday, I got to hang out with some of my friends from San Jose. Gotta say it was good seeing them again, its been awhile since I've seen anyone of them. I started that day off tired, so I napped before we headed off for Great Mall. We met up around 11:40am, my friend got his license so he was able to drive over, before it was always a pain cause he had to take public transportation if he ever wanted to come hang with us. He said he was gonna get an old BMW, which is pretty sick for his first car, but for now he was driving his dad's GMC pickup until his BMW gets fixed. So we went to watch The Spirit, I thought it was a pretty good movie overall, really liked how they used their color scheme. Anyways we caught up on old times, reminiscing about summer and how much fun we had back then, like going to Boardwalk and all that, we definitely have to do that again lol. We ate at the Great Eat at Great Mall, haha my friend left his wallet in the movie theater so he had to run all the way back to the movie theater to get it, that guy always makes me crack up. We didn't stay long at the mall afterwards, since we wanted to go workout, so we headed over to the Y. I have to say, I am definitely not in the shape I was over summer, all that college food and esp. the food in TAIWAN, really killed me. Now I need to loose all that weight all over again -_-" its ok though I plan to work out more regularly over the coming quarter...hopefully. Well, me and my friends lost all our full court games,  except one but thats cause he was on a good team haha. When he scored his only point in four games me and my friends kept laughing in disbelief that he actually was playing ok, cause he normally doesnt. He is usually the butt of most of our jokes haha. Well afterwards, most of them came back to my house to play on my wii or my bro's xbox 360. They left around 7pm, and boy was i tired :P i think i slept pretty early that day cause I had a really bad headache. Probably a combo of irregular sleep (related to jet lag) having too much fun that day while being tired, and ballin a lot at the Y. Well thats about it for now, I've been resting mainly these past few days. My friend wants me to go to his bday party on Sunday, but thats when I leave for college so we'll see how that goes.

BYACK!!

So basically, this is my first blog back in america...i have to say im missing taiwan a lot still something i forgot recap back in my last blog is that TAIPEI DRIVERS ARE CRAZY haha well i dont know how it is like in NYC or downtown LA...but Taipei drivers are extreme. Literally if there are two lanes...Taipei drivers use three or four...the two original lanes and the middle and possibly the sides...plus the backseat doesnt require you to wear a seatbelt lol...but after looking at all the craziness...im surprised that there are not a lot of accidents in Taipei...well i did see one where the car literally flipped over...but that was about it :P...much props to the Taipei drivers for being so aware haha

Anyways, I got back yesterday at around 2:40pm-ish...i have to say...the flight was one of the better ones ive been on. Since it was new Eva plane, it had a touch screen tv with games and movies at a touch of the screen. Plus in business and premium laurel class, the ceiling of the plane lit up like stars when the lights dimmed down so that was pretty cool...the food still sucked though :P Well we got back, unpacked, then played with RC lamborghini's for almost the entire night, my friend kevin came over to visit a little until 12am. I went to sleep, woke up almost at 3pm...yes i slept for almost 15 hrs last er night...then played with RC lambo's again. I played my bro in basketball. I have to say I haven't touched a basketball since Thanksgiving, and I've been eating like there was no tomorrow at Taiwan, and I still beat my bro :) 100-96. haha that was an intense game. Well today is Christmas, so yeah. Only thing planned for tomorrow is work out at the Y with a friend, and buy some late gifts for relatives who apparently got us stuff XP shouldve picked something up for them in Taiwan ><" but we'll go look for that tomorrow.

All good things must come to an end :(

Well today is my final day here in Taiwan, my flight is booked for 7:20pm I think, so we are leaving around 4pm. It's almost 12pm here so I got some time wrap up and recap what happened along my journey in Taiwan. Basically, today was dedicated to packing, I have to say my mom BUYS waay to much stuff. She says I buy too much but frankly all my stuff fits in my appropriated space :P Well, I think we are basically done right now though, the thing that concerns me though is, we have 4 big luggages and 4 carry ons. We are getting someone to drive us there....with a camry...that is gonna be one cramped ride.

Well finals thoughts on Taiwan, I am extremely bummed I have to leave Taiwan, but I tell myself everytime that next time will be better, and I can't get to it if I don't leave the present. Mixed feelings right now, Sad that I have to leave but happy at the same time so i can chill with friends back in the bay. I have to say though this has been one of the best trips I have been on for the last couple years, extremely memorable. I am really gonna miss Taiwan :( but I'll give a recap.

Highlights:

Uhh arriving in Taiwan: That flight was really long, so I was REALLY glad that I got off and into Taiwan. :)

Getting on the Metro: Cause I love the Taipei Metro :)

Going to the Taipei Zoo: Even though I missed seeing the Pandas since it arrived last night, the zoo was really big and cool...alot better than the SF Zoo

Seeing all my relatives in Taipei: Cause not after not seeing them for years, its always nice to see them again, my youngest cousin really has grown up, looks completely different, and my eldest cousin has changed a lot too since the last time i saw her :)

Yi Lan: was amazing...no words to describe it...I could have easily stayed there for a day

The Dinner with my relatives: memorable to say the least

CKS Memorial: the place is EXTREMELY pretty...breathtaking views as well

Wufen Pu: Another place I could have easily stayed a day for, I bought two sweaters there at a bargain price :)

Dinner with Uncle and youngest cousin: we ate a lot haha

Dinner with Mom's friend: I really wished i brought my camera that day T_T the restaurant was absolutely stunning

Shopping: Taipei 101, Pacific Sogo, two huge dept stores, underground mall, New York New York and the rest...amazing ;)

Downers:

Didn't get to see a lot of my relatives that much, other than my second eldest uncle stopping by every day that was about it :P

I shocked myself with those bug zapper shaped like a tennis racket, cause I didn't know what it was

Not buying something from Taipei 101, Pacific Sogo or New York New York :(

Not going to the top of Taipei 101

Leaving

Sanitation here is pretty bad, other than Taipei 101 and some other dept stores, Taiwan really needs to clean up :P

Well thats all I can think off, I leave on an interesting note I found out yesterday, the Taipei metro was voted the most reliable or the best metro in the world... you think it would be tokyo or SF or somewhere in Europe...but it's in Taipei :) I wouldn't doubt it either haha

Last full day here in Taiwan :(

Well, today surely was a sad day, but won't be as sad as tomorrow :( it's my last full day here it Taiwan. So basically, the past few days I have been helping out my grandma and my mom do shopping most of the time, so today was dedicated to me :) This time I didn't forget my camera hehe. Let's see, we set off this morning around 9ish to visit my great aunt and uncle. We visit them every time we come back to Taiwan, because when my dad was really young, they really helped out his family, so he has been always grateful to them. They truly are good people, when your around them, you just can't help but feel humble and courteous. I was pretty disheartened to see my great aunt in bed, since she is very ill, but it was definitely nice to give them visit none the less. Afterwards, we set out to Taipei 101, which was walking distance from my great aunt's place. I was determined to find myself a sweater, but found the ones I liked were WAY over my budget. For example, i have about 4600 NT to work with in buying a sweater, the one that I was looking for, being sold in Taipei 101, was 11,980 NT...waay over my budget...maybe if i saved some then I might get it in the future. Anyways we had lunch at Taipei 101, hehe me having subway, we also went to the market on the floor, where i got a butt load of socks, since I now completely refuse to eat airplane food now. We then found ourselves working our way up, where I found the higher you go the more expensive the stuff are haha. Well anyways, I wanted to go on the elevator that takes you to the topm but my mom didn't want to, so I said fine, we're going next time when my bro comes. Man Taipei 101 is clean, I wish I could live there :P. We then took the walkway over to New York New York, where we browsed around to no a veil. I was pretty bummed at this point cause I really wanted to get something from either Taipei 101 or New York New York.  Then we went to the Xing Guan San Yuan around there, and still to no a veil, was really bummed at this point. We then set off to another Xing Guan San Yuan, which the second tallest building in Taiwan behind Taipei 101. At this point, I gave up on my sweater hunt and settled for a lebron polo long tshirt, and I found something for my mom to get my bro hehe. Well I was still pretty bummed since I planned on going on a shopping spree on the last full day here in Taiwan. So we went to the Taipei Main Station Underground Mall, which I gotta say was pretty huge. I didn't get any clothes, but I did find this game store, where, being as I may a once Anime Freak, got a lot of anime related stuff including a present for one of my old buds. But yea, I got stuff related to two of my fave animes, so that really brighten up day. Well I took a lot of pictures along the way, came back and my uncle stopped by, and my mom and him were talking about religious stuff, which was pretty cool. Well here I am now, started packing a little now, will blog tomorrow to recap and highlight my stay in Taiwan for sure.

O yeah, the media is crazy over the two Pandas that are being sent over from China, like its all over the media, the two Pandas just arrived in the Taipei Muzha Zoo, which is really close to where I am staying right now. Yeah....crazy haha

Recap of the last two days

So basically I have been slightly busy the last two days and have not found a convenient time to get onto the computer, but yea hear  I am

The Other Day:

Well let see the other day was our Sunday, and honestly I wasn't expecting much of the day other than the dinner with my other uncle. We started the day off by going to a market where my grandma, my mom and my aunt went to buy a butt load of food, which I had to carry. We came back around noon time and ate lunch. My mom was expecting two of her old friends to stop by and chat. So I decided to take a quick nap, which quickly almost turned into a 3 hr nap. *sigh* must have been tired from the other day or something. Well when i went to sleep its was about 2:30 and i woke up around 5 and my mom was still talking with her friends haha. Well they left, and we were abound too as we carpooled with my other uncle to go eat. We all fit into my uncles nissan x-terra suv, so it was my uncle, my aunt, my mom, my cousin and I. I was surprised where we went to eat, the hospital. We ate at a Tzu Chi Hospital, which I gotta say was pretty friggin awesome. We basically went into the basement floor where there were a lot of restaurants around. Like if you live around Cali, its like the food courts in the malls, except the food was a lot cheaper and tasted better, basically you get your money's worth. Well basically in egg rice, which was basically ketchup rice put inside an omelet, that was pretty big it was about 6" in diameter. Then I had a hamburger, and shaved ice cream, I couldn't finish that one. The plate for the shaved ice was literally 12" in diameter, I swear it could have held a basketball inside easily. Well that was most I ate so far, and my stomach was really bloated. Funny story, when my uncle order three shaved ice in the dead of winter when it was becoming really cold, her eyes widened and reminded us that it was winter time, and my uncle was like....so....haha I thought it was pretty funny. My aunt and my mom called us  “三個風子" sorry I don't know if i wrote that right but it basically means three crazy fools, cause we were the only people there, or for the day rather that order shaved ice haha. Well after the huge meal, my aunt wanted to take me to a night market called Wufen Pu. I gotta say I LUV IT THERE. All clothes there, I could have spent three hours there alone haha. The huge downside is, being 6'2", having broad shoulders and long arms, not a lot of stuff could fit for me. I did, however, manage to buy a rain jacket and a sweater, cause I heard NorCal has been deathly cold as of late. I was pretty satisfied with my finds there, but was not satisfied that it had to start raining that night as well. I really want to go back there the next time I go around :)

Yesterday:

Yesterday was kind of a downer for me, not too much happen, but you know me, when I'm here something always happens. So yesterday morning my youngest uncle left for the college he teaches at, and I accompanied my grandma to the NTU hospital, that place was pretty cool :) So we spent about the whole morning there, went to buy some bread and buns on our way back. We then had lunch, and had to say goodbye to my aunt who has been taking us around to places for the last few days and my grandma, though i head she is coming back up today to see us off tomorrow. We then set out a bookstore that sells a bunch of Dao books, then my mom wanted to take me to a famous temple in Taiwan, which is also well known for the fortune tellers that are in the underground paths under the temple. I won't tell you everything I heard about my life, since I didn't understand the lady some of the times. But, she did say I was gonna live the boss life after 38, and that i should go out to the business world as soon as possible since my fortune doesn't like in education. Yeah, pretty interesting, the woman hit on some of my interests, which really shocked me cause she never knew me before. We then went to Sogo, where I set out to buy tons of stuff but didn't cause I am really indecisive right now as to how to spend the rest of money, or where to spend it. Though I will spend it today. My mom, then met up with one of her old friends, and we ate at 5 star restaurant. I have to say it was pretty amazing, today was one of their slow days otherwise we wouldn't be able to get in. It's on the 10th floor of a building, so I had an amazing view of Taipei City, and the theme of the restaurant was Japanese, with modern twist on it. The food was OK, but the setting and view just blew my mind away. The only thing i regret was not bring my camera T_T, well after that we came back and rested up for the next day.

Well I am in my last full day at Taiwan and I gotta say I had a blast coming here, possibly one of my best visits here. I'll recap stuff tomorrow, but for now I plan to go on a shopping spree today to beat my friend who is having a shopping spree in Beijing hehe

Interesting Day...

Yesterday was much like the day before in that we had lots to do in one day.  We started of by going to Subway (hehe my favorite) to buy lunch for my grandma, aunt, mom, and myself...i ate about half of what we bought, which is like 18" of subway. I'm not sure exactly where we went afterwards though, but we basically went Chiang Kai Shek's resting ground which is also his vacation house when he was alive. Man, I gotta say that place was pretty. His vacation house was in the mountains, consisted of the house itself, i think two big lakes, rivers, and a killer view of everything. That guy really knows where to find the best places to live in Taiwan.  Well, anyways. I took a bunch of pictures of the scenery there, then we set off for shopping. No, it wasn't for me, rather it was my grandma. Boy, does she know how to shop, I think we ended up buying A LOT  of stuff, and I ended up carrying most of it. We apparently went shopping in the mushroom capital of Taiwan...or possibly the world. Apparently they sold the best mushrooms around probably anywhere. So my grandma bought a lot of that, including yams and other various things I've never seen in my life. Then we set off cause grandma wanted to buy tea cups for her alter (which is the entire 4th floor), so we went and got that...there was a cat in there that like to walk around our legs which was pretty cool. O, haha i almost stepped on a kitten at a parking lot, cause it was rubbing against my jeans and i didnt notice it so I took a a step in its direction and the kitten got scared :P Anyways we got those tea cups and was set to go back, where my eldest uncle planned a dinner for our entire family at a all you can eat buffet, it was a pity though. I ate lunch at 3 cause I wasn't hungry, and we went to eat dinner at 6:30 T_T even though I crammed as much food as possibly...I still thought it was a waste, cause I could've eaten so much more...I think I ate the least there, but i did eat ice cream and all that good stuff. I am pretty sick of food at the moment, but that will change tonight when my other uncle takes me to another all you can buffet XD The dinner was nice though, I got to see my eldest cousin from my mom's side, and the youngest from my mom side. We were three 'kids' there, it was nice seeing them, I have to say they both changed a lot, it was definitely good to see them though considering i havent seen them in years. Im not sure what Im doing today but ill blog about that later today or tomorrow morning.

Yi Lan

Well today was a pretty exciting day, let see I didn't have a good night rest although i am slowly but surely adjusting to the time zone here getting more and more sleep from the first night here  at Taiwan. So basically, my aunt and grandma came up to Taipei around 6:30ish, and my uncle came around the same time from work, and there was a surprise visit from my eldest uncle as well late into the night. Well today, my grandma, my aunt, my mom and myself set off for Yi Lan, which is about and hour drive from Taipei. I'm not sure what the place was called, but we went to a place, or a park rather, that was set in the 1950's of Taiwan, so there was old roads and buildings which was pretty cool. There was a strip of about 30 stores that we spent most our time at. I got a shirt there, some decore for my dorm since a certain someone was criticizing my dorm for looking like a prison cell lol. I also got some stuff for friends there as well cause the stuff they had their were quite unique. The stores there were pretty awesome. In the midst of all this, my aunt mom and my grandma pushed me to do a photoshoot like thing where i dressed as an emperor and posed with swords and a fan. I gotta say that was definitely an embarrassing moment in my life. The outfit was old and beat up, I was pretty much blind without my glasses, and on top of that...i had to wear blush/makeup O_O....i was like holy wtf...but i endured it...i guess in a way it will always be memorable when i look back at it. I have to criticize their food too. It literally tasted like chinese medicine. Terrible. Their entertainment was good though, and the setting was quite beautiful. So, overall, I did enjoy my visit to Yi Lan. O yeah, we went to eat 'stinky tofu' afterwards at a night market. Just throwing that in. Well here I am now, exhausted. Probably why my grammar is so poor right now. Not sure whats going on tomorrow, but I'm sure it will be packed since its a weekend :)

Around Taipei

Haha so I said I was gonna try and blog everyday while in Taiwan but i already broke that, so yesterday. Basically, I had a tough time sleeping the other night...I think I woke up at 2am due to jet lag, then went back to sleep at 10am until 12pm, then went out around Taipei. I didn't have money on me at the moment, since my grandma usually gives me chinese new year money in advance since i only visit in December, so i dont have any NT (Taiwan currency) to spend for myself. So I mainly window shopped.  I took the bus to Wangfang Hospital, where i then took the metro to ZhongXiao Fuxing stop, where Pacific Sogo was. I usually hang around the 10th floor cause as a kid i went there for the toys, now as a young adult i go there for the sports apparel and electronics. There wasnt much there that appealed in terms of clothes, but I did manage to get my bro something for all his troubles of correcting my essay. Afterwards, my mom wanted to visit an old friend at a bank, and I got to drink some delicious bank coffee :) And since the bank was close to Taipei 101, we headed over there as well.  There isn't a lot to buy in Taipei 101 if your like me, since most of their stuff are top of line clothes with an additional price tag just cause its in Taipei 101, but visiting Taipei 101 is always nice though=) We then checked out a department store right across the street from Taipei 101 called New York New York, and i got to say their second floor is pretty awesome. The them of that floor was creative design, so the whole floor was filled with awesome and cool stuff definitely going back there before i leave X) Well after that we headed back to rest since we were tired and yea that was that day.

Today, my grandma and aunt are coming up from Xing Zhu at around 6pm so thats gonna be super cool, I think I heard my mom say something about going somewhere tomorrow.   Anyways we had nothing to do until 6pm, so I decided I want to go to the Taipei Zoo, since I have intense interest in animals. I got to say that zoo is HUGE and really cool too. I think its the only zoo i know of that has a library inside it. Anyways the animals are always fun to watch. There were a lot of little kids there since their schools were having field trips there. Well I got something for a friend at the zoo since his birthday was coming up and he really likes pandas, and a gift for another friend cause the present made me laugh a lot and it fit right into what my friend is like: making me laugh a lot. I plan to get more stuff for a couple of friends but we'll see how that goes. In the mean time, I think I'm gonna rest for the day and wait for my grandma and aunt to arrive which should be like in 4 hrs, since i always get excited when i meet people haha. Thats it for now, hopefully ill be able to check in tomorrow=P

First Day in Taiwan

Ok, so basically today was kind of like rest day for me here in taiwan, the flight from SF airport was almost 14 hrs, which is crazy long for the likes of me. I spent about half that time sleeping. Just as a side note, I'm not good with airplane food at all, I don't know if their overall food quality is just garbage or the air in the cabin thats just nauseating or something else. But this time, I literally almost barfed over one grape...ONE FRIGGIN GRAPE...it may sound stupid at first but its true, i had a huge stomach ache the rest of the flight, which was like 13 hrs, and had seven pieces of gum just to suppress the barf smell...this was no joke either :P Anyways, I got to Taiwan at about 7:05am this morning, took the eva air bus to Taipei, which was about a 80 min ride, then took a taxi to my grandma's place which was about 10 mins.  Since the single grape ruined my entire appetite on the plane, you could probably imagine i was pretty hungry after not eating for 16-17 hrs, so we went to a convenience store down the road and got two instant noodle as a morning snack for me. I then went onto accompany my mom to the bank as she needs a bodyguard with her, when retracting huge sums of money annually from the bank, oh and she also sees to of her old friend who work there. I took the Taipei Railway/Subway to get there, which was pretty exhilarating for me every time I use it haha. Anyways by the time we got back it was about 2pm so we had lunch. Then my aunt called in to say hi, I napped for a little bit due to jet lag, and here I am now blogging about my day. It almost 6pm right now so I'm gonna have dinner real soon, expecting to see one of my uncles in a little bit as well, so I'm looking forward to that. That's it for now, hopefully I'll check back in tomorrow haha

PS My grammar/ mechanics are notoriously bad as my bro has pointed out so many times before so bear with me if anyone reads this :)

First Post!!

So basically i got the idea of blogging when i ran across my old xanga...or old xangas back in high school and middle school. While i went through the xanga  a lot of old memories popped back into my head...and made me question...was that really me? Well anyways it was a lot of fun looking back at all the good times i wrote down and friends did on their xanga and because i have terrible memories sometimes, i've decided to blog. I was going to do this earlier so i can document my pretty hectic but entertaining first quarter of college at UCSC, but i never came across to actually blog what i experienced. I guess i can try and summarize it up briefly. Basically, UCSC was not my first choice school and coming in, I didnt expect a whole lot. Boy was I wrong. I friggin love it at UCSC, I have been able to see friends from middle school and elementary school whom i haven't seen in a long time. Made new friends while i was at it. It was fun, i met a lot of new and cool people :) Some highlights of college definitely have to be opening week cause the whole purpose of it was to meet new people and explore the campus, downtown SC cause its just fun down there, clubbing was a high point as well, my friends coming over and sleeping for a night in my dorm, all the adventures i had with mike and joe, and i guess even getting lost in the forest...by myself...in the dark...haha ooo and the concussion i had was bad...but somewhat memorable when i look back at it minus the hospital bill...it was fun overall though...definitely a new learning experience for me that ill treasure haha

Anyways its currently winter break, finished off my finals thank god, i hope there is a the FATTEST curve on my calc final though i think i did decently? well...im going back to Taiwan, so ill be documenting that along the way, anyways im at the airport...in the eva air lounge cause im flying BUSINESS CLASS BAYBEE haha...yea gonna board in about an hour...its my first time back in two years so it will be exciting seeing my relatives in Taiwan.
