So my long weekend started on friday when where it was capped off by All Star Weekend, with the celebrity game and rookie challenge being that day. Celebrity game, in my opinion, is always very entertaining to watch, rookie challenge was somewhat disappointing though, it was lackluster minus Kevin Durant's 40+ performance which earned him MVP of that game. Then my buddy, Kevin, came over to pick up his pink shirt for valentines day, that was shipped with my order. Saturday, was when things really got poppin, I think we were suppose to hold a quick short practice at 1 pm, but only 5 people showed up including me, that day was EXTREMELY WINDY, so i found out most of the outside shots kept being blown away from the rim. This was to prep for our big game against project 'mayhem' tomorrow. From there, my friend, Jay, came back with us to watch all star saturday and sleep over at our house. We got back around 2ish, then proceeded to watch TV, and shoot some hoops outside until my Howard and Henry, came over from their place, to sleep over as well. It was like a huge party, howard was glued to the smaller tv while he played Call of Duty 4?? While Jay, my bro and I watched all star saturday with my other friend, Alex, who came by around 630 with some pizza. I think in total we cleared about 5 boxes of pizza, since I also bought 3 prior to his arrival. So we had a good time, laughing while watching the all star game as well as playing on our wii as we failed miserably at wii golf. Ooo, DUNK CONTEST WAS AMAZING, started off lackluster but it picked up in the end and got pretty crazy. Anthony Morrow should have been in the three point contest cause everyone in that contest was EPIC PHAIL, skill challenge was pretty good, and shooting stars, all i gotta say is...Phoenix dropped the ball man. But yeah, having jay, howard and henry sleep over that day brought back the good old days when they slept over for boardwalk over the summer.
Sunday: It was pouring, it was cold, the wind was pretty strong, the ground was wet, and yet PANDAS, or most of us, were there, and project mayhem. Well we had our pick up game anways, it was nice to alan again. So they made it a real 40 min game with 4 quarters, and the game started off really close, I count by 2's and 3's so the score was like 22-20 with us up, and I insert myself into the game in the second quarter, and viet decides to come in as well, then all of sudden the 2 pt lead went to 8 in an instant and soon i think the score was like what...58-26?? something like that...or around that vicinity. I mean the game was good and all but I had to feel bad for their team...their leader wasnt even leading the team :P. Honestly I thought they would have a slight advantage against our team since they had two inside guys on our team before but o well. Hopefully we'll play them next time at full strength :) Haha I wore like a t-shirt a thermal shirt then another long shirt, so my shot was limited, then Howard went under me on a rebound and in an attempt to not hit him i landed on the ground and got my side soaked...and i figured for the rest of the game...fawk it...so i decided to dive for loose balls haha....but yea overall a very fun game :) Then we went back to my place where chong melvin, jay, howard, henry, chang, my bro and i chilled before the all star game...unfortunately chang melvin and chong had to leave before all star started as well as howard and henry. Then Chin made his way back over to watch the majority of the all star game. I got to say, this years all star game was way better than last years. Last year was lackluster, this year was pretty good...I have a feeling it has to do with Shaq in the lineup :) Shaq livened up the entire game, with between the leg pass through dwight to chris then giving it back to shaq to complete a dunk. Then Dwight Howard almost nailing a three, and Jabba appearing with Shaq definitely capped off this years all star game, o and the dunkfest. Well Jay stayed one more night before going back, then I went back to SC on Monday. Sorry if all this is grammatically hard to read or unreadable at times, as I have a fat headache, the 'hangover' of a fun packed weekend. So yeah, school starts tomorrow...so yeah not looking forward to that.
